HISTORY

While completing my university degree I worked on a variety of online projects enabling me to put my knowledge into practice and gain additional experience. As I would like to pursue a role in social media marketing, I have taken on the marketing account of an Italian café located in Dubai where through regular online engagement I have managed to increase their online presence resulting in increased brand awareness and sales.

Additionally, I have worked on a range of websites where the main focus was on being user friendly, mobile responsive and incorporating the latest SEO best practices.

MARKETING & ADVERTISING2010-2015


I majored in Marketing for my degree which gave me a foundation in understanding the theory of traditional forms of marketing and advertising. This included defining target audiences and how to reach them, consumer behaviours, marketing planning, implementation and evaluation.
 

ONLINE COLLABORATION2013-2016


My Communications degree was based on the Internet and its changes since WEB 2.0 was implemented. The Internet has grown to the size it is today through people willing to collaborate together by constantly adding content to the Internet, building upon the vast mass of information that it has become today. One of the biggest contributors of content sharing at the moment is social media, and so we studied each platform from Facebook all the way to Wikipedia. Current and possible copyright laws were also covered in addition to Internet politics.
 

SOCIAL MEDIA2013-2016


I studied and have first hand experience on a business level with the social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube. Each platform offers a different experience to users and business’ needs to research which platforms their target audience are utilising, what times of the day and how, in order to grab their attention. Social media gives businesses a way to interact with their clients/customers in a way that was never possible before. Through analytics it is now possible to measure a marketing campaign with detailed analysis and facts rather than with estimated figures as we did in the past with traditional forms of advertising.
 

WEB DESIGN2013-2016


I started studying web design as part of my university degree, and each subject required a website to be built as part of the final assessment. My degree covered HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, WordPress (building themes and understanding WordPress’ structure) and mobile responsive design. Once I gained enough knowledge I then continued to build websites for clients to gain further experience and maintain what I had learnt.
